Greetings! The latest episode in our S&K Difference Video Series is available – featuring the Ksanka (Kootenai) Language Apprentice Program.
The Ksanka (Kootenai) Language Apprentice Program is a tribal-language revitalization initiative led by the Ksanka Kootenai Culture Committee under the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. Its goals are to train new speakers and leaders in the Ksanka language by pairing apprentice learners with fluent elder speakers as mentors. In this video, we introduce Vernon Finley, Program Director, and several language apprentices as they train and learn the language. Their ultimate aim is to prepare apprentices to become certified language instructors and carry the language forward.
To all employees – we are deeply grateful for your dedication and hard work at S&K. Your efforts not only drive our success but also directly benefit the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Because of you, we are making a lasting, positive impact for Tribal people and future generations.
